Teen Wolf

Teen Wolf is an American television series developed by Jeff Davis for MTV. It is loosely based on the 1985 film of the same name, and stars Tyler Posey as a teenager named Scott McCall, who is bitten by a werewolf and must cope with how it affects his life and the lives of those closest to him, and Dylan O’Brien as “Stiles” Stilinski, Scott’s best friend. The series has received generally positive reviews from critics and is a fan favorite on social media.

Cody Christian joined the show for Season 5 in 2015 as Theo Raeken and was part of the show for the two final Seasons 5 and 6.

Cody’s character Theo Raeken is probably one of the most complex and tragic characters in Teen Wolf. At the age of 9, masked scientists known as the Dread Doctors used the little boy for their experiments, turning him into a chimera, using his sister’s heart as a transplant. Although the Doctors were the driving force behind Tara Raeken’s death, this event was the beginning of Theo’s transformation into a sociopathic, narcistic young man who came back to Beacon Hills at the age of seventeen, meeting with the serie’s hero and former friend, Scott McCall. During Season 5, we could see Cody perform as an ambitious, power-hungry young man, thirsty for recognition, seeking to find his own identity, trying to break free from his creators, the Dread Doctors by treachery, lies and deceit. His plans unfold and almost destroy Scott McCall’s pack until he himself falls for treason, devours his own pack and finally is dragged to hell by a projection of his dead sister.
In Season 6, Theo is brought back to Beacon Hills when the city has to face a new, seemingly unstoppable threat by the Wild Hunt. While no one really trusts Theo, he has not only face the hate and distrust of the ones he betrayed but also his past and traumatic events in hell. When facing the Ghostriders together with young beta werewolf Liam Dunbar, he is willing to sacrifice himself to save his comrade, marking a turning point of his character development.
The second part of Season 6 will air in June 2017 and producer and Teen Wolf creator Jeff Davis promised a larger, sad storyline for Theo Raeken.

Throughout the series, Cody portrayed this complex character in all his nuances: the cunning intriguer, the struggling young supernatural fighting his minority complex and the damned paying in hell for his deeds.
